Spring has sprung, ushering in a celebration of European events at both Semeccel sites. On May 18th, for the fourth year in a row, L’Envol des Pionniers took part in La Nuit Européenne des Musées. This year which marks the 80th anniversary of the death of Antoine de Saint Exupéry, visitors had the opportunity to participate in an event celebrating the author of The Litte Prince and the desert theme along with many other happenings such as storytelling sessions, henna tattoo art, or an obstacle course for the whole family. The work carried out by six CM1 and CM2 classes who participated in the educational project, “In the footsteps of Saint Exupéry”, was also showcased. La Cité de l’espace and L’Envol des Pionniers also took part in La Semaine de l’Europe (Europe Week), from May 9th to 31st, organized by Toulouse Métropole. For the occasion, a game flyer featuring the colours of Europe was distributed to kids at la Cité de l’espace. L’Envol des Pionniers hosted nearly 600 CM1 and CM2 pupils with free admission on May 23rd and 24th.
