Since early February, a new open-air exhibition has been displayed on the gates of the Cité de l’espace, visible from outside the site. Featuring 39 large panels, the ocean seen from space highlights the critical role of satellites in observing and preserving the oceans. This exhibition, produced by TIMKAT for the Cité de l’espace, is part of the Year of the sea. It ties in with the 3rd United Nations Conference on the ocean, which will be held in June in Nice. Satellite images, expert testimonials and interactive QR codes enable visitors to understand how space is helping to measure the impact of climate change and to discover emerging solutions. In partnership notably with the ESA, the CNES, UNESCO and Mercator Ocean, this exhibition builds on the Cité de l’espace’s commitment to raising awareness about major environmental challenges.
