Future space sector leaders met at the Cité de l’espace

On July 5th, the Cité de l’espace hosted the closing evening event of the European Space Generation Workshop (ESGW) organized this year at IPSA Toulouse by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). This European association includes young researchers and engineers involved in the space sector. 230 people met in Toulouse to discuss moon exploration. Simon Pujol, scientific facilitator at the Cité de l’espace, took part in the congress, invited by the SGAC, as part of the education and inspiration working group. He accompanied participants who were discussing ideas on an educational kit about moon exploration and future missions. This kit will be designed to be used by three different age groups and distributed throughout Europe to pupils aged 5 to 18 and their teachers.
For the Cité de l’espace, this occasion was an opportunity to raise awareness of young professionals about scientific outreach actions implemented on site, and to make contacts with those who could contribute to these projects in the near future.
