On March 30th, Jean Baptiste Desbois, CEO of the Semeccel – Cité de l’espace – L’Envol des Pionniers was awarded one of the Distinguished Service Awards given every year by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) at its IAF Spring meetings. The award honours active volunteers for their outstanding contributions to the progress made in astronautics and the Federation. Here, it honours the ongoing, deep commitment of the CEO of the Semeccel in the space ecosystem in general and the IAF in particular. Jean Baptiste Desbois founded the Space Museums and Science Centers Committee of the IAF, bringing together his peers from all over the world. This award is also recognition for the international reach of the Cité de l’espace and the commitment of its entire team to raising public awareness about space and to the industry.
