Online mediation: a great success

To keep in touch with the public in spite of the health crisis, la Cité de l’espace and L’Envol des Pionniers each set up an online mediation platform during lockdown. La Cité de l’espace launched Astronaute chez soi, or Astronaut at home, a programme including 20 activities to do in 15 to 20 minutes with everyday objects (online). Scheduled live events such as the Children’s Scientific Convention also were adapted to the online format. These offerings were very successful with over 40,000 visitors to the site during the period, and a record number of visits for Astronaute chez soi (25000 connections on the site and 50,000 views on Instagram).
L’Envol des Pionniers also remained busy with two school projects, Raconte-moi Montaudran (Tell me about Montaudran) and l’Aventure à la lettre (Adventures to the Letter). These initiatives were awarded the “Learning Academy » label by the public body that oversees the French National Educational System.
