Spotlight on space

The beautiful days kicked off under the Cité de l’espace’s projectors. Five films were shot on location here in recent weeks:
• On March 4, National Chinese television CCTV shot a program as part of la Fête de l’espace, celebrated in China on April 24.
• On March 4, the French astronaut, Jean-François Clervoy was interviewed at the Cité de l’espace for a docu-drama devoted to the Artemis missions.
• On March 13, POMTV filmed several shots for a program dedicated to Jacques Émile Blamont, astrophysicist from the CNRS and a founding figure of the CNES.
• On March 21, France 4, filmed shots for the children’s program, Okoo Koo in several areas of the site including espaces LuneXplorer, Lune – épisode II and la Cité des petits.
• Finally on April 7, the popular program, C’est toujours pas sorcier set up shop at Terrain Martien for an episode on lasers. Sylvestre Maurice, astrophysicist at IRAP, talked about the Perseverance instruments, in the presence of an animated replica.
These shoots reflect growing interest in the Cité de l’espace and the Semeccel’s know-how when it comes to raising awareness of a wide range of audiences about scientific and space issues.
