Even 100% digital, the Children’s Scientific Congress in 2021 was somewhat intimidating with its real scientific congress decorum. On June 3, more than twenty classes (Year 6 and 7 pupils) presented their models on the theme, My school on Mars. Following in the footsteps of the astrophysicist Sylvestre Maurice from IRAP in 2020, this event was sponsored by Romain Charles, an engineer at ESA and CNES who in particular participated in Mars 500, the simulated manned trip to Mars. Organized by the Cité de l’espace with the participation of the Académie de Toulouse, Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier and ISAE-SUPAERO, with support from MGEN, the event benefited from the ESERO label obtained in 2020 (ESERO is an educational program of the ESA coordinated in France by the CNES and its partners) to strengthen its national dimension and attract schools from all over France and the overseas territories. The recognition of the teaching community suggests that the 2022 event will be well attended.
