On May 17th, L’Envol des Pionniers had the great pleasure of hosting the kick-off of the second
Toulouse Tarfaya-Cap Juby air rally created to honour the memory of The Line pioneers. Organized
from May 18th-27th by the association, Air Aventures, this year’s rally had special significance as it is
eighty years since the first publication of the most iconic work of Antoine de Saint Exupéry, The Little
Prince. Present at the launch in a duplex in Washington were the president of Air Aventures, Jean-
Jacques Galy, d’Olivier d’Agay, the great nephew of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and the secretary
general of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation for Youth, along with Jean-Luc Moudenc, Mayor
of Toulouse and President of Toulouse Métropole, Jean-Claude Dardelet, President of the Semeccel
and Vice-President of Toulouse Métropole and Thierry Sentous, municipal councillor.
